Madame C is a US Tango Champion who reached the finals in Tango Salon and semifinals at the 2005 Buenos Aires World competition.
But ask her students and they'll tell you her real talent is teaching, making the impossible feel inevitable on the dance floor.
Before tango, she was a visual artist exhibiting in galleries from Soho to Spain, with summer showcases in Provincetown. She developed a technique of pouring acrylics, oils, and gold leaf onto metal sheets, swirling them into expressions of movement and sensuality.

Tangomania by Madame C
Madame K's love affair with tango began in Paris. At the Trocadero plaza, under the watchful eye of La Dame de Fer, she heard music that reached her heart and watched, completely captivated, as couples navigated the floor lost in each other's embrace.
Years went by. She admired her yet-to-be lover longingly from afar. Then one day she read an article about Edie Windsor, who famously said, "Don't postpone joy!"
So she went looking for an instructor who would embrace the idea of a female leader. Luckily, she found Madame C.
